Comes with a beautiful & colourful artwork by Katrin Kaufmann. The artwork, which forms a colorful continuous landscape of triangles, refers to the title of the album Somewhere far. This title is inspired by the lyrics for the Dutch song on the album, Ergens Ver Weg: a story about two women who live far away from the busy world in the mountains, dancing all day long. The geometric shapes in the artwork also refer to the painted colored triangles the duo applies to their skin for the concerts.

We are very excited to present OXEON's first album! Four years ago, we – Lea and Sylvie – met on the first day of our jazz masters in Lausanne. Both coming from classical music and relatively new to the jazz world, we benefited greatly from each other's support and recognition from that first moment. We started playing together more often and about one year later, our duo was born. During this process, we easily found common ground about making music, preparing rehearsals and communicating. Dinners turned into musical moments, sharing, chatting and searching for who we really were as a duo: at the crossroads of jazz, classical and folk music. The addition of effect pedals helped to further define our universe. We are still at the beginning of our development together, but we are grateful for the opportunities we have had so far and the faith people have placed in us. We can't wait to explore this project further. Welcome to the colorful yet intimate OXEON world! (Lea & Sylvie, August 2023)
